A Lucky Dip
I have just heard a story of the recent Floods which has its amusing side. A cafe owner on the south coast had laid in a large supply of tinned goods, which were stored in his basement. Water poured in and the tins rolled gaily about until firemen pumped the basement dry. Then the owner found, to his horror, that though the tins were still intact, every label had been washed off, He is now offering local housewives a Christmas lucky dip, and the adventurous ones are risking serving soup for fruit salad, or fish where they expected peas!
